Welcome to Amador County, California
Terre de Vie is nestled in 60 acres of permaculture forest in Amador County — a quiet, rural corner of the Sierra foothills. It is surrounded by other small homesteads and private properties.
Jackson is the county's main hub, and is home to multiple grocery stores and amenities. There are multiple local farmer's markets and fresh locally-raised food. Folsom, California, and hour's drive away, is the closest municipal hub and offers Costco, Whole Foods, Trader Joes, and anything you might imagine.
Pine Grove is the closest town and is home to an independent coffee shop, an ice creamery, a few good restaurants, and an Ace hardware.
If you like snow, you can drive a couple of minutes up the road to sled at local snow parks, or an hour into the mountains to ski at world-class Kirkwood Ski Resort.
