Welcome to Terre de Vie

​The Haven is nestled in Terre de Vie, a private gated 60-acre permaculture property shared only with the owner's residence. It is in Amador County — a quiet, rural corner of the California Sierra foothills. It is surrounded by other small homesteads and private properties. It is three hours east of the Bay Area, an hour southeast of Sacramento, and an hour west of Kirkwood ski resort. It sits just below the snow line, at about 2,300 feet, in mixed oak and conifer forest.

Jackson is the county's main hub, and is home to multiple grocery stores and amenities. There are multiple local farmer's markets and fresh locally-raised food. Folsom, California, and hour's drive away, is the closest municipal hub and offers Costco, Whole Foods, Trader Joes, and anything you might imagine.

 

Pine Grove is the closest town and is home to an independent coffee shop, an ice creamery, a few good restaurants, and an Ace hardware.

 

If you like snow, you can drive a couple of minutes up the road to sled at local snow parks, or an hour into the mountains to ski at world-class Kirkwood Ski Resort.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
